Privacy policy

This page explains what personal data we process in connection with wedrowkahome.pl and with contacting us, why, and what rights you have.

1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Maria Przekupień, trading as Wędrówka Home Maria Przekupień, ul. Karpielówka boczna 11a, 34-511 Kościelisko, Poland, tax ID (NIP) 7361747480.

Contact for data protection matters: wedrowka.home@gmail.com, phone +48 698 517 963.

2. In short

  • This is an information-only website. There are no forms, user accounts or newsletters.

  • The site sets no cookies.

  • Google Maps loads only after you click "Show map".

  • We only process personal data when you contact us yourself.

3. Contact by phone, e-mail and WhatsApp

When you call, e-mail or message us on WhatsApp, we process the data you give us: usually your name, phone number, e-mail address, the content of your message and details of your planned stay (dates, number of guests, pets).

  • Purpose: answering your question, making an offer and arranging your stay. We don't use this data for advertising or newsletters.

  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request before entering into a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in handling correspondence).

  • Retention: until the conversation ends; if no booking follows, no longer than 12 months after the last message. If you book, we keep the data for as long as tax law requires (5 years from the end of the tax year in which the document was issued) and until any claims are time-barred.

  • Providing data is voluntary, but we can't reply without it.

E-mail: messages go to our wedrowka.home@gmail.com inbox at Gmail (Google), and we reply from it.

WhatsApp: when you use WhatsApp, your data is also processed by WhatsApp Ireland Limited under its own privacy policy.

4. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.). On every visit, Cloudflare's servers automatically record technical data: IP address, browser and operating system, date and time, and the page requested.

  • Purpose: delivering the site, keeping it secure and preventing abuse.

  • Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

  • Retention: according to Cloudflare's policies, usually short. We don't combine this data with other data or use it to identify visitors.

5. Google Maps

The "Location" section can show a Google Maps map. The map does not load automatically. Until then you see a plain map image from our server (© OpenStreetMap contributors). Only after you click "Show map" does your browser connect to Google's servers. Google (Google Ireland Limited, and Google LLC in the USA) then receives your IP address, among other data, and may store its own cookies on your device.

  • Legal basis: your consent, given by clicking the button (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 399 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law).

  • You can withdraw consent by closing the page or deleting cookies in your browser settings. The site doesn't remember your choice, so the map needs a click again on your next visit.

  • Details: Google's privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

  • Without loading the map, you can use the "Open in Google Maps" link, which takes you to Google's service.

6. Cookies

The site itself sets no cookies and uses no advertising or profiling tools. Cookies may only be set by Google after you choose to load the map (section 5).

7. Recipients and transfers outside the EEA

Data may be passed to the service providers we use: Cloudflare (hosting), Google (Gmail, the map after a click), WhatsApp (if you choose it). Some of them also process data in the USA, based on the European Commission's EU-US Data Privacy Framework decision or standard contractual clauses.

We don't sell data or share it with anyone for marketing.

8. External links

The site may link to other services (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps via the "Open in Google Maps" button). Their own privacy policies apply once you go there.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your data and get a copy,

  • have it corrected,

  • have it deleted,

  • restrict its processing,

  • data portability,

  • object to processing based on legitimate interest,

  • withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing before withdrawal).

To exercise these rights, write to wedrowka.home@gmail.com.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl.

We don't make automated decisions or profile you.

10. Changes

We may update this policy, for example when the services used on the site change. The current version is always available on this page.
